This morning Barack Obama quoted Psalm 46 verbatim. No interpretation, no opinion, just the words of the Bible:<\/p>\n
1<\/sup><\/em> God is our refuge and strength,\u00a0<\/em> \u00a04<\/sup>\u00a0There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,\u00a0<\/em> \u00a07<\/sup>\u00a0The LORD Almighty is with us;\u00a0<\/em> \u00a08<\/sup>\u00a0Come and see what the LORD has done,\u00a0<\/em> Thank you Mr. President for bringing pure hope and comfort today. We will never forget 9\/11 and what it means. When\u00a0our nation is blessed we will be hated by evil people. Just as Israel was blessed by God, so has America been. Just as the evil have hated Israel so have they hated America. Yet we continue to be blessed.<\/p>\n As verse 2 above mentions, those evil people have tried to make us fear, but we will not fear. We also should not allow this to make us evil, or lead us to become self-absorbed.
